On a lovely sunny Saturday in July, Northgate Lighting hosted a BBQ with the aim to get together with colleagues and their families, while also raising money for our chosen charity, Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.
With bouncy castles, inflatable slides, afternoon tea, a huge tombola, and an even bigger raffle, the day was great fun! There were games including limbo, a coconut shy and bingo, plus live entertainment and karaoke.
Prizes included a BBQ, Sports Table and lots of donated gifts. Huge thanks for donations to Philips Hue for donating a home lighting kit, The Ivy Harrogate for a champagne afternoon tea, Leeds Rhinos for 2 x tickets, Waterloo Fisheries for a family meal, and Bubbles Special Occasions for a beauty bundle. These prizes were greatly appreciated.
The team at Northgate worked hard to put this day together, building the stalls, coconut shy and stage, plus spending the day cooking, bringing in prizes and more and the massive effort paid off as we raised £626 towards our charity fundraising!
We have raised almost £1000 so far for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund and we haven’t even started our big fundraisers yet!
